7.1.9 Seeking Members for the
Board of Directors of Volunteer Centre Aberdeenshire
With tens of thousands of volunteers adding real value
to services provided by the voluntary and public sector in Aberdeenshire ever year, we strongly believe that volunteering
contributes enormously to people’s lives and communities in
the region. The
Volunteer Centre in Aberdeenshire (VCA) exists to promote, support and develop volunteering in the shire.
We are a small but growing organisation with three offices and seven members of staff. We have established ourselves
as a reputable organisation delivering quality services to volunteers and organisations involving volunteers. VCA is a Company
Limited by Guarantee with charitable status, overseen by a Board of Directors with a wide range of experience from their involvement
in the voluntary, public and private sectors. There are currently four Board meetings per year, with additional focus meetings
as required. VCA is inviting applications from interested suitable candidates to join its Board. If you have an interest in
the work of VCA, and you are able to offer commitment and have skills in any of the following areas, we would very much like
to hear from you: - Fundraising
- Strategic Management
- Campaigning
- Marketing
- Business Skills
- IT
