The
Aberdeenshire Volunteer Coordinator's Forum met for the first time in February 2009. It's aims are to:
- Provide an environment for the discussion of volunteer management issues - Promote good practice in volunteer management -
Provide peer support amongst forum members - Give VIO's
in Aberdeenshire a voice - Allow VCA to disseminate useful
volunteering information - Inform the work of VCA The forum is open to those in a role of recruiting and managing volunteers, (whether in a paid or voluntary capacity), for not-for-profit organisations based in or involving volunteers in Aberdeenshire. The forum is facilitated by VCA but the content of meetings and any joint activity is driven by its members. Currently the forum is meeting approximately once a quarter, and is split in to North and South groups to make travel more manageable for members. If you would like to attend forum meetings - please contact the appropriate VCA office (see details below). The next Coordinators' Forum is to be held at the Apex Centre, Broad Street, Peterhead on Friday 17th February from 10.00am to approx 12.00. For more information please contact Keith Anderson at our North office. |
