VCA has produced a new guide for
anyone wanting to get started in volunteering. Called "Turnaround", it describes the stages in the "journey" to becoming a
volunteer and is packed with useful tips to help you on your way. There are also details of some of the volunteering opportunities
available across the shire. See our Resources page to download a copy, or pick one up from various locations e.g. libraries, community centres etc.

VCA is gathering opinions about
a proposed forum for those that coordinate, supervise or manage the work of volunteers, either in a paid or voluntary capacity.

8.7.8 NEW Volunteer Management Training
VCA and Aberdeen Volunteer Centre are delivering a new program of training for those involved
in the coordination, supervision and management of volunteers. The series of 5 courses begins
in September, but places are limited and the deadline for applications is Friday August 29th. See

Volunteer Centre Aberdeenshire
is seeking a committed and enthusiastic part-time Administrative Assistant for our office in Fraserburgh. Duties will be numerous
and varied and include providing administrative support to the Development Officer. You should be proficient in IT and have sound administrative, interpersonal
and communication skills. You should have the ability to work on your own initiative
and as part of a team. This post is subject to an enhanced
