This month's Golden
Opportunity
Want to put your I.T. skills to good use? People returning home after a long
stay in hospital due to spinal cord injury and who are facing the challenge of life with a disability, can have their confidence
boosted and gain skills to make the transition as successfully as possible through the effective use of I.T.
That is the basis for Momentum Scotland’s latest project – which needs
volunteers to make it a success. Volunteers are needed to help their clients to develop their IT skills and thus make the
most of leisure, training and educational opportunities and overcome isolation. You will need to be familiar with common computer
software e.g. Windows XP/Vista, Microsoft Office and have empathy with the needs of disabled people. You will be trained in
some of the assistive technologies used to make IT accessible. So, why not put your IT skills to good use?
Interested ? Contact your nearest VCA office for more details of this opportunity.
